2. Safe Anesthesia & Sterile Theatre
For liposuction-only neck contouring, we typically use twilight sedation — you are deeply relaxed but breathing on your own, monitored throughout by a senior consultant anaesthetist. For platysmaplasty or a full neck lift, we use general anaesthesia. You will not feel anything. You will not be aware of anything from the moment the medication enters your vein until you wake up in recovery. The procedure itself takes between 1 hour (lipo only) and 3 hours (full neck lift with platysmaplasty). I perform every step personally.

7. Can I have a neck lift if I have diabetes or high blood pressure?
Yes, provided they are well controlled. We require recent HbA1c (under 7), stable blood pressure, and physician clearance. Patients with well-managed chronic conditions heal as well as those without.
8. I am 65 — am I too old for a neck lift?
